I am getting married. To my career (if there is any to being with). hahah.
Studies shows that people spend 70% of their waking time at WORK. Choosing a career is like choosing a partner - to spend the rest of your life with. Its not an easy task, and often, we will make the wrong choice.
"This is WHAT I WANT", I thought to myself. "I WANT TO BE A LAWYER AND EARN LOTS OF MONEY, SO THAT I CAN GET PENTHOUSE, BMW CONVERTIBLE, BUILD MY OWN KTV ROOM AND A POOL TABLE IN MY LIVING ROOM".
GET STARTED. Work and gain experience, save up for my tuition fees to study in NUS / SMU law school. Ok, find job, found a job, work and work, work OT, don't know what I am working for, no personal time, people WOW when I told them I am working at a law firm, get angry and frustrated, go home vent my frustrations on everything and everyone in the house, get pay, pay goes to creditors, and the cycle repeats.
It never cross my mind that my plan is not even realistic! How to get into NUS/SMU in the 1st place? Ppl told me i should try to apply, got interviews and all, but I am competing with ppl from TOP schools & GIFTED from other countries. What are the chances of me being selected? Use common sense and think. The thought is too far fetched. And if miracle happens, it would mean that I will be in debts.
Thought I found the job I would settle for, but after what happened, I realised I was wrong. Want quit also find it hard to quit. Cuz my boss got the impression that I am going to work there for at least freaking 2 years. Why torture myself.. Just leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES.
WAH I VERY LONG WINDED. LOL. BUAY TAHAN. CONCLUSION = CAREER = HUSBAND/WIFE.
